Our Product Technology Centre in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Infant Nutrition. In addition, it also provides technical assistance to our factories.

As an Ingredient Specialist, you will be part of the Recipe & Ingredient Management Team and be responsible for elaborating specifications for lipids to enable proper manufacturing of our products. You will be ensuring application of internal and external standards in creation and maintenance of specifications in close collaboration with our Ingredient Experts, manufacturing sites, procurement and suppliers on a global level. You will also contribute to ingredient portfolio harmonization to reduce complexity whilst maintaining high quality standards.
Key responsibilities

  • Elaborate specifications for a broad range of lipid type materials to ensure their sourcing and recipe development
  • Work with procurement to ensure cost optimized sourcing of raw materials
  • Provide technical support to further optimize the lipid raw material portfolio of the Nestlé group

Required Profile

  • Master Degree in Food Sciences, Technology, Nutrition or Quality Degree
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to constructively challenge and find solutions
  • 3-5 years of operational experience in the food industry, production, QA or successful experience in product formulation and project management would be a plus
  • Fluent in English, command of an additional European language (French, Spanish or German)  would be an asset
