Nagra, the Swiss National Cooperative for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the safe disposal of radioactive waste generated in Switzerland. In this key function of the ISP Division you are responsible for a small team of scientists and project managers.You should have a science or engineering background with an advanced university degree and a minimum of 7 years of professional experience after completion of your academic career in one or more of the following areas:
• applied geoscience
•surface and underground exploration of rock formations
•modelling, safety analysis
• engineering
• radioactive waste management and repository development
Our strength is delivering state-of-the-art solutions utilizing our in-house expertise as well as that of our well-established partner network. Demonstrated ability to lead with social competence and work within multidisciplinary teams and to deliver prompt, efficient and cost-effective results including comprehensive documentation is a must.Multi-tasking, a high degree of flexibility, experience in project acquisition and willingness to travel abroad for short periods are expected. The written and spoken working languages in ISP are English and German. International experience in the field of radioactive waste as well as knowledge of additional languages are assets to be favorably considered in the evaluation.
