Innovation sits in the roots of BOBST, the Head of IoT Services Marketing is playing a vital role in defining tomorrow's digital services and to establish BOBST as benchmark in IoT services.

The Head of IoT Services Marketing is a management position responsible for bringing our portfolio of IoT Services into effective action at our customers. Based on market needs and frequent interaction with our customers, you will define the specifications for new services, lead the marketing development and industrialization, and manage the life-cycle of our digital services portfolio.

You are a hands-on self-starter with the ability to motivate and lead subordinates and others. A skilled communicator who is able to convey information, ideas and policies to all levels of the organization. You will work in close relationship with IoT development lab, IoT services sales force, product owners, communications, technical services, other business units, machine product lines, and subsidiaries worldwide for successful delivery and sales of IoT Services. The interaction with our customers is key and 30-40% travel will be required. You will report to Head of Marketing Portfolio & Communications.

Main Responsibilities & Key Tasks

Product management. You are responsible for developing a service strategy by collecting market research, customer feedback and stakeholder input, and to keep the balance between the development team and the needs of the customer. The Head of IoT Services is monitoring the performance of the product range and define marketing actions that maximize sales and financial performance of the IoT services. You are deciding on the service's positioning and preparing the pricing strategy in collaboration with the pricing team, and in cooperation with the communications team you oversee the creation of sales and marketing material.

Project management. Ensure that all projects are run in accordance with BOBST processes, and that viable services are delivered to the market on time and on budget. The industrialization of the service is a vital part of the project, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the service fulfills all relevant criteria and that all involved functions in the company are aligned on the deliverable.

Team management. You will lead a marketing innovations team with a strong focus on customer insights and data analysis. The team is working closely to the IT division and is instrumental in defining the correct system structure.

Uses cases and specifications. You and the product owners are the voice of the customer for IoT Services in the organization, and based on market insights and customer requirements you are responsible for establishing the use cases and the functional specifications for the development of new services. To translate customer requirements into technical specification, you have Product Owners managing individual services in your team.

Product roadmap. The Head of IoT Services Marketing is responsible for ensuring that existing services continuously meet the market needs, and to propose improvements to them as required. You are ensuring that any changes to a services is communicated to the customer in an understandable way.

Training. Actively train and inform internal stakeholders on the IoT services portfolio and its benefits to the customers.

Education & Experience
  • BS/BA degree in either Marketing, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Min. 5-year B2B marketing experience, preferably from a software company
  • Experience from the machine industry is a plus
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and change management
  • Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish challenging tasks
