Responsibilities:
- Tasks and responsibilities
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Supervision of the Accounting team
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to management
- Assuring compliance of annual stand-alone and consolidated external financial statements in accordance with Swiss law
- Managing statutory annual Swiss audits related to the above-mentioned external financial statements
- Support and supervision of regional accounting teams
- Treasury
- Tactical liquidity planning, and short-term cash management, including handling of foreign currencies, and money market deposits
- Supervision of payment transactions
- Defining banking strategy, and maintaining bank relationships
- Support on long-term financing solutions
- Financial risk management and internal control system (ICS)
- Establishing, monitoring, and evaluating internal controls which are relevant to financial processes
- Determine accounting policies, issuing directives upon need, and supervision of Chart of Accounts
- Managing, and mitigating financial risks
- Negotiations with business partners (e.g. banks, suppliers, customers)
- Other tasks:
- Assuring compliance with Swiss tax laws, supervising on VAT and annual tax filing
- Expert on Swiss Code of Obligation
- Expert on capital investment and shareholding structure
- Support finance director on ad hoc financial projects
Requirements:
Education, experience and skills:
- Perfect command in English and German,
- Min. 5-8 years’ experience working in a similar position
- CPA highly desirable
- Proven expertise in both Swiss GAAP, in particular as for accounting and taxes
- Familiar with the latest international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Thorough understanding of business processes
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems, preferably experience as a SAP S/4HANA, key user ERP,SAP, S/4HANA
- Pronounced proactivity, international mind and hands-on mentality are musts
- Leadership and staff supervision experience are pre-required
